Norrington kissed her cheek and trailed down to her neck. Her skin was warm and inviting. He buried his face in the crook of her neck.

She leaned her head to the side slightly, giving him more access to her neck. “J-james,” Her hand ran up and down his back, then back into his hair. 

When footsteps were heard coming down the stairs and into the brig, she froze in place. 

He listened as soon as Aimee froze. He quickly pushed her off his lap and tried to fix his hair. If they were caught messing around, they would be separated and that was the last thing he wanted. A man with a tray appeared and relief flooded his face. “Bernard,” he said with a sigh of relief and a half smile. He stood and walked over to the bars. “It’s good to see you.”

Bernard gave a half-hearted smile. “Aye, you two are lucky enough. These are the leftovers. Actors gotta eat too.” he send the two of them a glance. “Sad it ‘ad te go this way.” he opened the cell briefly to put the plate on the ground. 

Aimee sat with her back pressed against the ship. She was no longer hungry, but rather nervous and hoping the chef wouldn’t see the blush on her cheeks. “Merci for ze food.” she said quietly.
